Kara has been nominated to be part of a taskforce to be appointed by the Governor to engage Nairobi City County Government in finding solutions to the challenges facing businesses and residents of Nairobi.

The proposed taskforce draws its membership from the members of Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) coalition currently hosted by Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM). Other proposed members of the taskforce include KAM, United Business Association (UBA), Kenya National Chambers of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI) and KPA
The BMO Coalition is a network that was formed by various Associations that seek to advocate for better services from the National and County Governments. Members of the coalition recently held a roundtable meeting with Nairobi Governor to discuss various challenges affecting businesses and service provision within the City. The Governor recommended establishment of a taskforce to work with the County Government in finding sustainable solutions to various challenges.
